Davenport Evans Law Firm is celebrating 80 years in 2019 by donating 80 needed items to a different non-profit every month. One selected organization was The Banquet, and the firm’s donation for August is feminine hygiene products. Join us in support of The Banquet! The Banquet meal ministry was founded in 1985 starting with just one meal per week. They now serve 13 meals per week at two locations. The Banquet is a volunteer-based ministry, which means all meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who come from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.
In 2017 The Banquet served 196,000 meals, and at least 25,000 of those meals were served to children under 12. The Banquet goes through approximately 15,000 gallons of milk each year. Davenport Evans serves a holiday meal at The Banquet every year, and was pleased to serve at the fairgrounds location in 2018. We look forward to celebrating the new Banquet Westside Expansion with the entire community in the year ahead!
