Davenport Evans is proud to support the Sioux Falls SculptureWalk, sponsoring the installation of “Nucleus” a steel sculpture by Sioux Falls, SD artist Jeffrey Satter, which appears before the Federal Courthouse on Phillips Avenue. The piece was one of 10 awarded Best of Show in the 2017 juried public art exhibition.
Regarding the sculpture, Satter explained, “When creating this sculpture I tried to push myself past the normal straight-line geometrical designs to the opposing symmetrical bends and curves having the nucleus being the focal point. These designs are more challenging with the bending and twisting with trials and errors but with patience and perseverance it all works out.”
The SculptureWalk is an exciting exhibit of outdoor sculptures displayed year-round in downtown, nearby uptown and the Eastbank in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Click here for a map. The SculptureWalk adds artistic atmosphere to historic downtown and helps grow the economy by helping make Sioux Falls a more attractive tourist destination point, and a better place to live, work and play. Be sure to experience the SculptureWalk and vote for your favorite sculpture.
