The staff and lawyers of Davenport Evans were recently treated to delicious smoked pork and chicken prepared by attorneys Vince Roche and Justin Clarke. An annual tradition, Roche and Clarke began planning weeks ahead. They prepared the meat the night before and fired up the smokers at 4:30 a.m. the day of the event, in order to make an on-time delivery for the noon meal. “It’s an early morning but we have a great time doing it,” said Roche. In total, they prepared 80 lbs. of meat plus side dishes to serve around 100 for the Friday noon meal.
Clarke and Roche related that the work was well worth the effort, to provide a special meal in appreciation of the entire Davenport Evans team. “Vince and I both enjoy barbecuing and thought it would something we could share. There really is nothing better than good barbecue in the summer,” said Clarke. Staff stated they looked forward to the special meal all year and gave the menu rave reviews.
