Davenport Evans gathered today to wish Dee Steilen a Happy Retirement, and to thank her for 34 years of dedicated service. Attorney Eric Schulte shared memories of starting as a new attorney, relying on her support like many young lawyers starting out their careers. Over the years, Dee has served alongside many friends and colleagues. Attorney Terry Prendergast, a former co-owner of the Sioux Falls Canaries, remarked that in baseball, there are players that are known for playing only one position. But a utility player is a prized teammate, because they can cover several positions with proficiency. Dee is that kind of teammate.
