Every year, the State Bar of South Dakota hosts a three day call-in program that allows callers throughout the state to anonymously seek legal advice. Davenport Evans stepped up again this year to make the popular Ask-A-Lawyer event a success, taking calls April 30, and May 1-2, 2013. Davenport Evans attorney Eric Johnson organized the Ask-A-Lawyer program for East River attorneys.

A total of ten Davenport Evans attorneys volunteered their time during the three day event to man the phones and take calls from people all over the state on a variety of legal issues ranging from real estate disputes to custody issues to questions about criminal matters. Attorneys Keith Gauer, Kyle Groteluschen, Sandra Hoglund Hanson, Anthony Hohn, Mark Krogstad, Sarah Richardson Larson, Eric Schulte, Matt Van Heuvelen, and Monte Walz, along with Johnson, assisted in the event, which generated over 400 calls and more than 450 legal questions in three evenings.
