Around 40 Davenport Evans lawyers, staff, and family members continued the firm’s annual holiday tradition of volunteering at The Banquet, a feeding ministry, on December 19. The meal served 248 adults and 10 children.
We also gave out winter gloves donated by individuals and purchased through a Thrivent grant secured by legal assistant Martha Nelson. (Thanks, Martha!) The service team was organized by Banquet board member and Davenport Evans lawyer Eric Schulte.
The Banquet relies on volunteer groups to sponsor, prepare, and serve meals to their guests. It only takes 6 people to prepare, and 20 people minimum to serve, a meal. There are new openings for individuals who wish to join existing groups, as well. Learn more here about volunteering as a group, and individual or special event volunteer opportunities at The Banquet.
