Record numbers attend the Employment Law Update Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

Thank you to all who joined us for the 2016 Davenport Evans Employment Law Update, Wednesday, September 28, at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls! What a fantastic crowd this year! The seminar drew a record 172 registrants, including human resources professionals, managers, and small business leaders from across the region.

The day opened with a hot breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the first speaker, Jean H. Bender, presenting, The Road to Compliance: A Practical Approach to Reasonable Accommodation. Next were Anthony M. Hohn presenting, Employment Law Developments: A Glance in the Rearview Mirror; and Kristi Geisler Holm, presenting, WHAT’S A WHEELER? Steering Through Work Comp Changes.

Following a break, Jean Bender spoke again, with, “Where Do We Go From Here? The Final White Collar Exemption Regulations. The final activity of the morning was the popular Ask-A-Lawyer Panel, with questions submitted online by registrants ahead of the seminar.  Lawyers Bender, Hohn, and Holm answered questions with the help of Davenport Evans lawyer and moderator Justin T. Clarke.

We know many have questions following the presentations and Ask-A-Lawyers panel, so now is a good time to call an employment lawyer for follow-up.
