April was National Volunteer Month, and the attorneys and staff of Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith celebrated with a service project at the Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire. The team visited the kids on April 20, splitting into small groups to shoot hoops, play cards and chess, build with blocks, and talk video games with elementary to teen-aged kids in the after-school program.Davenport Evans lawyers and staff volunteer at Boys & Girls Club

Davenport Evans lawyer Jonathan P. Brown reflected on this latest service project. “We are privileged to live and work in such a great community and proud to partner with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and DakotAbilities,” he said. “Volunteering is just a small way of showing our appreciation and also allows us to see how well these various organizations are being operated. I certainly enjoyed volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club.”

An additional April Volunteer Month project was scheduled, planting flowerbeds with residents at DakotAbilities, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Check back in mid-May for an update!
