Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of a new attorney, Nathaniel G. Nielsen, to the firm.
Nate Nielsen, a native of Sisseton, South Dakota, is a member of the Davenport Evans Transactions and General Business practice group. Nate joined Davenport Evans in 2026 after graduating from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law.
Nate graduated from the University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business, magna cum laude, in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2026, graduating summa cum laude with Sterling honors. During law school, Nate served as Staff Writer and Articles Editor on the South Dakota Law Review, where he developed strong legal research, and writing skills.
Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife Breanna, traveling, golfing, and cheering on the Coyotes, Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves. He also enjoys spending time at Roy Lake with family and friends.
