Davenport Evans is pleased to welcome its 2026 summer associate class, (as shown, left to right:) Caleb M. Stork, Benjamin R. Connor, and Tommy L. Morrison. Davenport Evans has a long history of hiring law students who participate in the firm’s summer associate program.

Caleb M. Stork is a rising 3L at the University of Iowa College of Law. Caleb will be a member of the College of Law’s National Moot Court Team next year and serves as a research assistant for Professor Jason Rantanen. He also worked as a student writer for the Iowa Law Review during his 2L year. He grew up in Sioux Falls and earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from South Dakota State University, where he was an officer of the History Club and helped judge for the National History Day competition. During his time at SDSU, Caleb interned at the South Dakota Legislature for two legislative sessions. In his free time, Caleb enjoys visiting national parks and historical sites, reading historical non-fiction, and spending time with his friends and family.

Benjamin R. Connor is a rising 3L at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Ben is interested in Property Law, Employee Benefits, and Litigation. Prior to law school, Ben graduated from South Dakota State University where he studied Political Science and English. Ben is originally from the small but mighty town of Winfred, SD where his family maintains a beef and crop operation. Outside of studying and working, Ben enjoys playing the piano, trotting across the globe, going to baseball games, and running on the gravel roads of Miner County, SD.

Tommy L. Morrison is a rising 3L at the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law. He serves as the Notes & Comments Editor of the South Dakota Law Review at USD and as a research assistant to Professor Robert Miller. Tommy has externed with the Sixth Judicial Circuit of South Dakota and during his 3L year, he will be externing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Dakota. Originally from Wilmont, MN, Tommy earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minors in Government and Psychology from Augustana University. In his free time, Tommy enjoys playing volleyball, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

Welcome, Caleb, Ben, and Tommy! Davenport Evans seeks to provide summer associates a broad range of legal experience. Each summer associate works with supervising attorneys from the law firm’s litigation and business sections to help provide a realistic glimpse into the practice of law. Summer associates conduct research, draft substantive legal documents, and accompany attorneys on a variety of legal matters.
