Davenport Evans Law Firm is celebrating 80 years in 2019 by donating 80 needed items to a different non-profit each month. One selected organization was the Family Visitation Center in Sioux Falls. Director of Development Carol Woltjer explained that the Family Visitation Center goes through large quantities of juice boxes, squeezable apple sauce, teddy grahams crackers, and gold fish crackers when children visit with their parents. Davenport Evans lawyer Anthony Hohn and assistant Abby Nissen were pleased to deliver 80 multi-packs to help meet the need.

Donation to Family Visitation CenterThe Family Visitation Center website explains their mission, “Adult problems like divorce, domestic violence, and substance abuse unfairly impact the lives of children. It’s hard to be a care-free kid when surrounded by fear, anger, stress, or neglect. When that’s what childhood looks like, it’s no wonder children struggle to make sense of it all. Family Visitation Center provides safe supervised visits and parental exchanges with the goal that, while in our care, children are emotionally and physically safe.” Learn how you can support the Family Visitation Center, here.
