Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, LLP wishes to thank Eric C. Schulte for his distinguished service to his colleagues in law, the firm, and the community, as he concludes his term as President of the State Bar of South Dakota at the State Bar Association’s annual meeting in Sioux Falls, June 24.

Prior to his 2014 election, Schulte served as a Bar Commissioner and on the Law School and Legal Services Committees for the South Dakota Bar Association. He is well-known for devoting countless hours to non-profit organizations across the state, including service on the Board of Directors for East River Legal Services and The Banquet, and expressing tireless support for literature and the visual arts.

Schulte is a graduate of the University of South Dakota (B.A., 1994) and the University of South Dakota School of Law, (J.D., 1999).  He has practiced law at Davenport Evans since 2000, following a year serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Second Judicial Circuit. Schulte’s practice focuses on general civil litigation, commercial and complex litigation, and insurance defense.
