Lori Rensink is a trusts and estates attorney at Davenport Evans. Originally from Freeman, South Dakota, Lori joined the firm in 2020 and became a Partner in 2026. Licensed to practice in both South Dakota and Minnesota, Lori practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and estate administration, trust administration, tax planning, and corporate and business transactions.

Lori is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls, graduating magna cum laude, and receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Business Administration with a minor in Sociology. She then attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, graduating with Sterling Honors, magna cum laude. Lori was the recipient of numerous awards while at the University of Sioux Falls and the University of South Dakota School of Law, including an award given to students who have been determined to represent an outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. While in law school, Lori served as the President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Board at USD. As a member of the ADR Board, Lori competed in national and regional negotiation and arbitration competitions. She also served as a student attorney at the law school’s low income tax clinic. Prior to attending law school, Lori worked for several years as a paralegal.

Lori is active in the community.  She is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of South Dakota, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Sioux Falls Estate Planning Council. Outside of the office, Lori serves on the Board of Directors for Mosaic and Swan Lake Christian Camp. In her free time, she enjoys botany, painting, spending time outside, biking, and spending time with her friends and family.
