A native of Madison, South Dakota, Elliot joined the firm in 2023. Elliot advises clients on a broad range of matters concerning trusts, estates, and closely held companies. Estate planning, trust administration, and business succession matters form the core of Elliot’s practice, but he also has significant experience establishing and operating private trust companies and navigating trust and probate disputes in and out of court.
Elliot completed his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College, graduating in 2017. He then attended law school at Northwestern University, where he attained the degree of Juris Doctor in 2020. While in law school, Elliot served as an executive editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Roberto A. Lange of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota. Prior to joining the firm, Elliot practiced estate planning law in Chicago, Illinois.
Elliot’s personal interests include reading, traveling, learning new languages, and pheasant hunting.
