Connor Shaull is a commercial litigation attorney at Davenport Evans. Originally from Tea, South Dakota, Connor joined the firm in 2024. He assists both large and small clients, as well as individuals, with claims arising out of commercial transactions. He practices in the areas of Commercial and Complex Litigation, Zoning and Land Use Litigation, Employment Litigation, Plaintiff’s Litigation, Insurance Litigation, and Trust Litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Connor practiced in Minneapolis with Stinson LLP.

Connor has substantial experience helping clients navigate through each stage of litigation. Connor’s experience includes handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions and motions in limine, and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements. He has also argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and conducted examinations before a jury.

In 2021, Connor was part of a group selected for Minnesota Lawyer’s Attorneys of the Year. He has also authored several articles, focusing on the common interest doctrine. His work has been published in the Minnesota Law Review and the Bench & Bar of Minnesota. He has also presented his research and applications in a variety of settings, including the Minnesota State Bar Association’s CLE program.

Connor completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern College, graduating in 2016. He then attended University of Minnesota Law School, where he attained the degree of Juris Doctor in 2020. During law school, he served as a law clerk for the University of Minnesota Office of the General Counsel, a judicial extern for the Honorable John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, a clinic director of the University of Minnesota Family Law Clinic, a Legal Writing Instructor, and a certified student attorney with the Clemency Project Practicum. He was also a Managing Editor for the Minnesota Law Review and a member of the National Moot Court Competition team that advanced to the National Final rounds in New York City.

Outside of work, Connor previously served as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he taught the school’s Thurgood Marshall Moot Court program, which won the 2022 national championship. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing basketball, and coaching sports.
