Ashley Brost is a partner and litigation attorney at Davenport Evans. Ashley focuses her practice on commercial litigation with an emphasis in trust and estate litigation. She also has significant experience in personal injury litigation, appellate practice, criminal defense, and family law. In 2022, Ashley was given the Rising Star Award by the South Dakota [Civil] Defense Lawyers Association.

Ashley serves as a Criminal Justice Act attorney for the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. These federal criminal cases come through appointment by the Court.

Ashley is a native of Sioux Falls and joined Davenport Evans in 2018. Prior to law school, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from Augustana University and a master of education degree from the University of Sioux Falls. She then attended the University of South Dakota School of Law where she graduated with Sterling Honors (top 10% of her class). Following law school, Ashley clerked for the Honorable Roger L. Wollman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Ashley serves as Chair of Recruitment at Davenport Evans. Outside of work, she serves on the Board of Directors for Feeding South Dakota, Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation, and the Family Visitation Center. She also volunteers as a Sioux Empire Teen Court judge. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
