Davenport Evans is proud to celebrate the recognition of Dave Knudson today at the University of South Dakota School of Law. Philanthropist T. Denny Sanford generously pledged $12.5 million to the law school to establish an endowment to provide scholarship money for law students. This incredible and generous donation will provide scholarship money to law students for generations. The school will now be known as the USD Knudson School of Law. Dave worked as a law partner at Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith for 35 years, until 2010. At that time, Dave left to work at Sanford Health as a senior vice president.
During his career Dave has been extensively involved in public service to the State of South Dakota, having served as Chief of Staff for Governor Janklow and as a State Senator from 2003-2011. He also served as Senate Majority Leader in the legislature from 2007-2011. Dave has always served as an inspiration and good role model for others. Davenport Evans congratulates Dave and his wife De on this well-deserved honor.
