Kathryn E. Ford

Kathy practices in the areas of commercial litigation, public utilities law, and health care law. Kathy came to the firm after working as the Director of Legal Affairs for Knology, Inc., a regional broadband service provider located in the southeast and upper mid-west. Prior to that Kathy was an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of South Dakota, where she prosecuted criminal health care fraud and other white collar offenses. Kathy also spent several years as an Associate General Counsel at QWEST Communications, practicing in the area of regulatory litigation before numerous state public utility commissions and the FCC. Kathy began her career after law school as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Donald E. O’Brien, United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa in Sioux City.

Kathy is a 1992 graduate of the University of South Dakota, School of Law and was president of the Moot Court Board. Kathy also holds an MBA, with an emphasis in healthcare management, from Auburn University.
