On Tuesday, November 4, from 10-11 a.m., Davenport Evans lawyer Sandra Hoglund Hanson will present What’s Up With the NLRB? Understanding How the NLRB May Impact your Workplace Policies, as part of the Howalt-McDowell Webinars & Workshops series. Click here to register for this free webinar.
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Board is a federal governmental agency, tasked with safeguarding employees’ rights to organize and decide whether to have or join a union and preventing and remedying unfair labor practices committed by employers and unions. Many employers have been under the mistaken impression that the NLRB is concerned only with union workplaces. This is incorrect, and, in recent years, the NLRB has become more active, pursuing public awareness and taking actions that affect both union and non-union workplaces. Join us as we explore the areas into which the NLRB has reached, including social media policies, at-will employment disclaimers, confidentiality of workplace investigations, franchise relationships as joint employment situations, and more.
