Davenport Evans Celebrates 75 Years with Dodgeball and 75 Donations at the Multi-Cultural Center
July 18, 2014 | dehs
Davenport Evans is celebrating its 75th Anniversary in 2014 with a year-long “Giving Back” campaign. As part of the campaign, Davenport Evans is selecting 12 local non-profits, one representing each month of the year, and donating 75 items to each from their wish-list.
The fourth “Giving Back” gift was made July 18th with a donation of 75 “after-school activities” to the Multi-Cultural Center. 15 Davenport Evans lawyers presented the gifts in person, and stayed to play an hour-long, and quite challenging, round of dodgeball with the kids! Donated “activities” included dodgeballs, FIFA World Cup soccer balls, Crayola markers, construction paper, sketch pads and beginner sketch sets.
In addition to playing games, attorneys enjoyed coloring with the children and receiving many signed art works to take back to the office. Davenport Evans was grateful for the opportunity to get to know the Multi-Cultural Center and to witness their work first-hand. According to their website, the Multi-Cultural Center exists to provide opportunities for all people to learn, celebrate, and share through cultural experiences.
