The same passion that drives our lawyers to succeed for clients is also evident in our tradition of community service. Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, LLP has helped to bridge funding and development gaps for non-profit organizations in the South Dakota region for many years, and our attorneys have served on and led many community boards. However, it’s not about having our name on a sign or foundation roster. Davenport Evans understands the importance of community contributions for the betterment of our clients, attorneys and staff.

From health care research and service to at-risk populations to the arts and education, and our ceaseless advocacy for economic development, Davenport Evans is visible and involved. For more than 20 years we have given four $2,500 scholarships and five $1,000 scholarships annually to graduating seniors from schools in the surrounding counties who attend a post-secondary school in South Dakota.
